Katsina State Governor, Malam Dikko Umaru Radda, who is serving as Chief Mourner, on the second day continued to receive sympathizers and condolence visits at the residence of the Chief of Staff.

This follows the passing of his wife, the late Hajia Hauwa (Maijeddah) Abdulkadir Mamman Nasir.

The Governor, standing as Chief Mourner, received a steady stream of dignitaries, government officials, and traditional rulers who came to commiserate with the bereaved family and offer prayers for the repose of the deceased.

Among those who paid condolence visits were the Speaker of the Katsina State House of Assembly, Hon. Nasir Yahaya Daura; the First Lady of Katsina State, Hajiya Zulaihat Dikko Radda; former Minister of Aviation, Sen. Hadi Sirika; and the District Heads of Malumfashi.

Also present were the former Deputy Governor of Katsina State, QS Mannir Yakubu; the Member representing Mashi/Dutsi Federal Constituency, Hon. Salisu Yusuf Majigiri; the Principal Private Secretary to the Governor, Hon. Abdullahi Aliyu Turaji; former Katsina Senator, Kabir Abdullahi Barkiya; and former Senator Ibrahim Ida.

Other attendees included members of the Katsina State Executive Council, Local government chairmen, Members of the Katsina State House of Assembly, traditional title holders, business community leaders, and other dignitaries from within and outside the state.

Clerics and religious leaders offered prayers throughout the visit, with Islamic scholars seeking Almighty Allah’s forgiveness for the deceased, praying that she be granted Aljannatul Firdaus, and asking for strength and patience for the grieving family.
