Katsina State Governor, Malam Dikko Umaru Radda, on Thursday joined the Muslim Ummah, family members, and sympathisers in the funeral prayer of the late Hajiya Jummai Yahaya Lawal Kawo, the third wife of the Chairman of Batagarawa Local Government Area, Hon. Yahaya Lawal Kawo.
Hajiya Jummai passed away on Wednesday after a brief illness. She is survived by two children and was in her forties at the time of her death.
The Janazah prayer was held at the residence of the Batagarawa Local Government Chairman and was led by the Grand Khadi of Katsina State, Alhaji Ahmed Muhammad Batagarawa, in accordance with Islamic rites.
Following the funeral prayer, Governor Radda joined family members, associates, and other mourners in accompanying the remains of the deceased to the Batagarawa Metropolitan Central Cemetery, where she was laid to rest.
Governor Radda extended his condolences to Hon. Yahaya Lawal Kawo and prayed that Almighty Allah forgives the deceased, grants her Aljannatul Firdaus, and comforts the bereaved family during this difficult period.
The funeral prayer was attended by the Principal Private Secretary to the Governor, Abdullahi Aliyu Turaji, members of the Katsina State Executive Council, local government chairmen, traditional and religious leaders, family members, friends.
